Air Max Day 2018
On the 26th March Nike’s Air Max Day honoured the game-changing midsole that propelled footwear design forward. Air debuted on 1987’s Air Max 1 when the trainer became the first to showcase visible Air, and since that point, the revolutionary design has evolved into an instantly recognisable aesthetic.
We used the hype surrounding this annual event to create a special social media campaign. Promoting a series of products for 5pointz, an independent clothing store based in Bristol.
We created 8 designs showcasing individual narratives. Each design sported a silhouette suspended amongst iconography inspired by the technology, history and aesthetic of the shoe. By drawing inspiration directly from the official Nike campaign it was possible for both campaigns to run in unison.
The final result was a campaign that targeted specific products, increasing social engagement, web traffic and sales. Gaining over a thousand interactions across multiple social platforms.
