We have been working with Laimu, a 6-piece Bristol collective bringing a fresh fusion of jazz, hip-hop, and soul.
With their sights set on breaking into the live scene this year, our main aim was to create an authentic identity that was true to the music and could communicate their innovative and contemporary sound.
Our main aim was to create an identity which could support their latest single release ‘Barefoot’. We wanted the single artwork to reflect their expressive, fluid and unique style. We achieved this by abstracting rudimental shapes, pairing a brush typeface with natural motifs and drawing inspiration from the sun and sea for both the colour palette and the cosmic aesthetic – a recurring theme throughout the track.
Studio Yoto designed and developed a clear and cohesive visual identity, along with supporting marketing material, including; single artwork, logo design, posters, stickers, and social media content.
“Cannot recommend Studio Yoto enough. Matt worked with me and my band to create cover artwork, logos, posters, and social media assets for our single release and we absolutely love the final product. He was professional from the get-go, ensuring he spent time getting to know us and our goals and he totally captured the essence of our vision in a way that we could never have done ourselves. He was incredibly efficient and responsive, and totally respected our ideas as well as making his own wonderful creative suggestions. Will definitely be recommending Matt to anyone who is looking for creative expertise and guidance on projects, and it would be a pleasure to work with him again.” – Lucy Sparks | Vocalist
